The R4 features the 195mm mounting system. We use the same construction on this model like we use on the R2 . The R4 is basically constructed like the R2 boot. Only the shaft is higher. Chemical sheets support the ankle area of the boot. The high cuff is ideal for speed beginners and long distance skaters and inline alpine skaters. The area around the achilles tendon has been lowered and padded for a better comfort. Besides the high cuff, the boot is exactly build like the R2. This means the same last, same shell construction, same paddings and lining. The R4 is ready to skate from first minute and is one of our big sellers in speed. The R-series is heat moldable although we use a composite shell construction. Please pay attention to the heating instructions that have been given in our FAQ´s page.
